Our Story

Welcome to RJMC

Ramesh Jha Mahila Mahavidyalaya is a constituent unit of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura (Bihar), founded by Late Mr. Ramesh Jha in 1972 — an eminent leader of Koshi Division. The college is situated in the heart of Saharsa town and is widely recognized for its holistic approach to women's education.

The College maintains Section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956 under the Government College category for teaching Bachelor's Degree. It is the only constituent women's college in Koshi Division with excellent connectivity and academic excellence.

Since 1972, the college has consistently empowered women through higher education, leadership, social development, and academic distinction — creating generations of confident women leaders.
